WELCOME TO a relaxed, cosmopolitan outdoor life!...LOCATION INFORMATION

PERTH

The major gateway to the state, famous the world over for its easygoing lifestyle, Perth is Western Australia’s capital city. Fronting the widest stretch of the Swan River, its inner city parks add to the relaxed atmosphere. Shopping there is fun and affordable; you’ll find major department and popular chain stores as well as many chic designer outlets.

Dining out in such a superb setting is all about fresh local produce and fine wines and every evening the pleasant climate encourages folk out onto the streets and down to the water’s edge to witness spectacular sunsets!

FREMANTLE

Known locally as ‘Freo’, Fremantle is only 20 minutes’ drive from Perth City … or alternatively you can take the ‘scenic route’ and go by ferry. Fremantle oozes heritage and cosmopolitan culture and its streets are abuzz seven days a week with shoppers and alfresco diners. A strong Italian influence means a vast array of pizza restaurants sit comfortably alongside a wide selection of international eateries. The city is also home to some of the state’s most popular seafood restaurants and cafes, which are dotted around Fishing Boat Harbour – the perfect place to sample the tastiest fish and chips or a ‘fresh catch’ from the Indian Ocean.

ROTTNEST ISLAND

Where the locals go to get away from it all, tranquil ‘Rotto’, just half-an-hour’s ferry ride from Freemantle, is perfect for a day trip. The island’s crystal clear bays are superb for snorkelling, diving, surfing, boating and swimming and private vehicles are not permitted so instead visitors jump aboard the island bus or hire bicycles and pedal their way from bay to bay!

ROCKINGHAM

Close to Perth, Rockingham is the second largest city in Western Australia and a popular destination for day-trippers and holidaymakers alike. Its uncrowded sands and sheltered waters are ideal for swimming, sailing, boating and fishing, while its beautiful offshore islands – with limestone rocks, coves and reef – are ideal for diving and snorkelling. The city is also home to a lively ‘cappaccino strip’ buzzing with smart restaurants, bars, cinemas, wineries and an extensive wildlife park.

SECRET HARBOUR

As its name implies, Secret Harbour is a well-kept secret situated on the ‘Golf coast’, about 55 kilometres south of Perth. Renowned for its surfing beach and golf course, which is crafted in a spectacular Oceanside landscape against the panoramic setting of the Indian Ocean, it is fast becoming one of Australia’s premier golfing venues. Its white sandy beach stretches around the bay and the northern side of the foreshore boasts a wonderful park with beachside walks, water features and barbecues aplenty.

MANDURAH (Voted 'Best Tourism Town' 2003 & 2004)

South of Perth, approximately 55 minutes drive along the Kwinana Freeway, Mandurah is perhaps the fastest-growing town in Western Australia. Its pristine sandy beaches play host to surfers, divers, sailors and fishermen. There’s a world-class golf course and, internationally recognised as a haven for migratory water birds, its beautiful waterways are visited daily by dolphins. Its foreshore is lined with parkways, barbecues, cafes and restaurants and its recently-completed award-winning marina boasts a shopping area, an indoor market and exclusive apartments, all with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

BUNBURY

170 kilometres south of Perth, with its beautiful beaches, superb yachting facilities, beach and sea fishing, diving and playful Koombana beach dolphins, Bunbury is a water wonderland and a year-round holiday destination. From June to September visitors can watch the magnificent Humpback and Southern Light whales that pause to rest and play offshore, before continuing their migration to the Antarctic.

BUSSELTON

With over 30 kilometres of white sandy beaches and tranquil waters ideal for fishing, water skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing and sailing, Busselton was judged Western Australia’s ‘Top Tourism Town’ in 95/96 and remains the state’s premier seaside resort. It makes an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area, in particular the Margaret River wine region, which extends westward from Busselton in the north and south to Augusta.
